The “Sumo” Skinny |
The Sumo is slightly stiffer (approximately 1 point MCS) than our “Original” line of Skinnies and is very popular with larger sailors and those who simply prefer the feel of a stiffer mast. By utilizing a variety of composite materials (a blend of the Original and the FAST) we managed to add stiffness to the Sumo line with very little weight penalty over the Original Skinnies. How to decide which Skinny is best for you? Our experience has been that those sailors who thrive on speed, response and power absolutely love this mast. Smaller sailors and sailors looking for a more forgiving mast may prefer the feeling of the Original Skinny. However, it’s a personal choice and the best way to find out which mast is for you is to demo or borrow one today.

The “F.A.S.T.” |
The Nolimitz F.A.S.T. is the solution for sailors looking for maximum freeride performance on their larger sails without switching to a regular diameter mast. This model is the first we have created in the 490 Skinny size. We transferred our efforts to it’s little brother (the 460) to complete the 2 mast line suitable for flat water, wind driven swell and overall freeride sailing. Fiber. Fifty-Five Million pounds of tensile modulus (stiffness) per square inch of carbon fiber. What does it mean?
